Bermuda Container Line (BCL) was formed in 1979. It is the island’s first Bermuda owned and operated container and ro/ro service. Over the years, BCL vessels have delivered nearly a half million containers and numerous vehicles, boats, building projects and heavy equipment.
With fixed day weekly sailings from Port Elizabeth, New Jersey at Maher Terminal, MV Oleander continually delivers the fastest shipping service to Bermuda. BCL’s terminal operation permits the most efficient US and global transshipment cargo connections from around the world, accepting Full Containers (FCL), Roll On/Roll Off and Breakbulk Cargo.
Great White Fleet
Great White Fleet is one of the largest carriers to Central America offering a weekly fixed day reefer and dry container service from strategically located ports, a reliable sailing schedule.
The service encompasses sailings from North America to Costa Rica, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador and Nicaragua. Great White Fleet operates at private terminals in all Ports and utilizes 40-foot state-of-the-art carried by a modern fleet of vessels.
Being one of the world’s leading Ro/Ro operators, Höegh Autoliners carries close to two million car units annually. In addition to transporting newly manufactured vehicles to world markets, Höegh Autoliners is also a leading carrier of second-hand vehicles as well as high and heavy construction equipment and other rolling and non-rolling stock. Höegh Autoliners’ vessels that can handle virtually anything on wheels up to five meters in height and 150 tonnes in weight.
It provides a dedicated service from East Coast North America (Baltimore, New York, Wilmington, Jacksonville, Galveston) to Europe, the Mediterranean, Red Sea, Arabian Gulf, West and South Africa and South East Asia.
Swire Shipping is a liner shipping service operated by China Navigation Company Pte Ltd (CNCo) and has been providing niche, regional, multipurpose services since 1883. The West Coast North America (WCNA) service operates with modern multi-purpose vessels providing a competitive and reliable sailing schedule southbound and northbound between the West Coast of North America and Fiji, Australia & New Zealand with connections through to Papua New Guinea, the multitude of Pacific Islands and ports in Asia. Cargoes carried are diverse ranging from general unitized cargoes, including forest products,to containers to large, heavy project cargoes. Montship is Swire’s general and sales agent in Canada.
